Vakkaru Maldives is offering a very special program for this year's festive season: "Around The World" is the name of the charmingly curated themed line-up that takes you to Asia, Europe, the Middle East and everywhere in between. There will also be festive cocktails and gourmet dishes, adventures by the ocean and a spectacular New Year's countdown.
From bespoke menus, wine tours and private dinners to children's talent shows, sports tournaments and personalized wellness programs, the island paradise has everything to get every age group in the festive spirit. Rounding it all off is a varied leisure program, including Tipsarevic Luxury Tennis, rejuvenating spa experiences and calming yoga and meditation classes. Christmas Eve
The festivities begin on December 24 with an evening cocktail followed by a sumptuous Christmas Eve gala buffet with live cooking stations featuring specialties from around the world, a live band, a DJ and entertainers.
Christmas Day
Meet Santa himself and enjoy Christmas Day with lots of fun games for all the family, with prizes and raffles to add to the festive spirit. In the afternoon, the main pool will be transformed into a tropical oasis with pool games, signature cocktails from the pop-up bar and a groovy soundtrack from DJ Leila.
New Year's Eve
Start the evening with a selection of signature cocktails at Isoletta Beach. Then travel the globe in one fantastic night with our Around the World Gala Dinner and party on the beach.
Ring in the New Year surrounded by some of the world's most famous landmarks as you savor culinary delights from Japan, India, Italy, Egypt and more. Rousing entertainers and live acts will keep the party going until the clock strikes 12 and the sky lights up with a spectacular fireworks display.

There's something for everyone during the week of celebrations at Vakkaru Maldives. Special culinary events include a lobster and champagne dinner, a marakkesh night, a robatayaki dinner and South African and Australian wine tastings.
Those looking to make wellness resolutions for the new year can sign up for daily yoga and meditation sessions with the resident yoga instructor. There are also workshops on coconut oil, head and shoulder massages and the secret to healthy living from Siddhalepa Ayurveda with Dr. Kalani Perera.
