The esteemed recipients of AUSTRIA'S BEST HOTELS 2026 have been revealed, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations.

And so, without further ado, we present the winners of the 2026 Connoisseur Circle rankings. We cordially invite Austria’s finest hotels to take their bow. Because a record number of votes were cast in 2026—and hotels were therefore scrutinized more closely than ever—the results of every hotel and resort’s performance are now documented with unparalleled clarity. Connoisseur Circle initially draws on the results from the world’s leading “satisfaction tracker”: TrustYou, www.trustyou.com

Guided by Connoisseur Circle’s precise test criteria—such as the highest quality of service—the editorial team, in collaboration with TrustYou’s digital experts, compiles a dataset that forms the foundation for the final selection. Next, the second factor comes into play: subjective market knowledge and in-depth firsthand experience. During a testing and evaluation phase lasting several weeks, Connoisseur readers and users were once again invited this year to participate in the voting—all online. A specially developed rating process enabled more than 288,000 participants to enter their personal impressions of each of the nominated establishments into the system based on TrustYou’s insights.

As in the previous year, the evaluation was conducted fairly and transparently: Only the top three properties—ranked 1 through 3—are listed as top winners; all others in each tested category are recognized on an equal footing.
Our aim is to invite ever more individuals—both online and offline—to engage with us on the most wonderful subject in the world: travel. We regard this as “storytelling” at its finest: discovering the finest hosts and their teams, challenging them, and championing them—that is Connoisseur Circle.
