Techno in the village

Borgo Egnazia opens its first outdoor technogym

Guests at the dreamlike Borgo Egnazia resort, located in the heart of the beautiful Apulian countryside, know that everything is a little different here. After all, they are not on vacation in a hotel or a vacation home complex. No, they are staying in a reconstructed Apulian village. Borgo Egnazia is therefore a kind of vacation universe of its own. Here you can enjoy the service of a 5-star hotel, but also the original and authentic flair as well as the village serenity that you would expect from an Italian place of this size.

Unusual on principle

In addition to the 63 rooms, 92 smaller houses, 28 villas, various restaurants, two private beach clubs, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, golf club and lush gardens, guests now have several new features at their disposal.

Firstly, the village's gourmet restaurant, "Due Camini", was awarded its first Michelin star, and secondly, the "Vair" spa was renovated. In addition, all sports enthusiasts can look forward to a unique outdoor gym in the future. The innovative outdoor gym was conceived and equipped in collaboration with the equipment manufacturer Technogym. Borgo Egnazia is thus setting new innovative standards for safe outdoor training that is suitable for all age groups and fitness levels. It is also a first for Technogym - it is the first outdoor gym of its kind.

The design of each of the individual training islands gives exercisers plenty of space for their exercises. In addition, there is a large selection of possible exercises that can be called up from a digital library of exercises and training programs via a QR code on a smartphone. Plenty of space and great variety maximize the distance between exercisers, so social distancing is no problem in the outdoor gym either. The exercises are suitable for different target groups and profiles. The outdoor gym is made of particularly durable and long-lasting materials to make it as sustainable as possible.
