Multiple awards for restaurants at Atlantis, The Palm in the first Dubai Michelin Guide

Good news from Dubai: Hakkasan and Ossiano, both restaurants at the 5-star Atlantis, The Palm resort, have each received a star in the very first Michelin Guide for Dubai. In addition, Danijela Tesic, head sommelier at Ossiano, received the coveted Sommelier Award and Nobu received an honorable mention in this year's guide, establishing Atlantis, The Palm as the most Michelin-awarded destination in the region.

"The arrival of Michelin and Gault&Millau is a milestone for Dubai on its journey to becoming a leading gastronomic destination. We at Atlantis, The Palm, are thrilled to contribute to this. [...]" said Timothy Kelly, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Atlantis Resorts.

OSSIANO

Grégoire Berger, recognized as one of the region's most creative and innovative chefs, is the celebrated culinary mastermind behind Ossiano - Dubai's premier underwater restaurant. With a tasting menu inspired by the sea and his travel memories, Berger is a pioneer in the UAE's culinary landscape.

It has been a momentous month for Ossiano, which also received two awards in the first edition of the world's leading restaurant guide Gault&Millau at the beginning of June. For Grégoire Berger it was the coveted title of "Chef of the Year" and for Ossiano the award for "Restaurant of the Year".

On top: after just seven months at Ossiano, Danijela Tesic has already made waves throughout the region's hospitality and drinks scene. The coveted Sommelier Award was bestowed due to Danijela's passion and knowledge of wines and her enthusiasm for wine pairings, which is enhanced by her friendly, relaxed and unpretentious manner.

HAKKASAN

Andy Toh has worked for Tao Group Hospitality for 10 years and was appointed Executive Chef of Hakkasan Dubai in September 2016. He is celebrated for his use of traditional techniques with very modern results. Only the finest ingredients are used in his dishes to emphasize the authentic yet modern philosophy of Hakkasan.

"It's really exciting to win a Michelin star for Hakkasan Dubai. We are the third one-star restaurant in the Hakkasan family after Hakkasan Mayfair and Hakkasan Hanway Place, and this is a testament to the support of Atlantis and Tao Group Hospitality who continue to drive the brand forward and secure the best talent and freshest produce to ensure we make our mark."
