Fans of the iconic Italian hotel had to wait two years, but a few weeks ago the Splendido, located high above Portofino, finally shone in new splendor! The hotel, which belongs to the Belmond Hotels, is located in a former Benedictine monastery with large gardens and a view over the Ligurian coast. It's no wonder that stars such as Bardot or - more recently - George Clooney, Cher and Rihanna have felt at home in this ambience. The Martin Brudnizki Design Studio was responsible for the gentle and stylish facelift of the legendary luxury hotel with 20 rooms and 41 suites. The London and NY-based interior team's most successful coups include the new Splendido Grill with Baratta Sedicci Bar and the Baronessa Suite, which is reminiscent of the salons of a fictional Italian aristocrat. Also new and a noble place for cultivated idleness: Italy's first Dior Spa with treatments that can also be carried out outdoors.
