Silversea Cruises equips 10th ship

The Silver Dawn will arrive in November 2021

After the new addition to the luxurious Silversea fleet had water under its keel for the first time when it floated out of the Italian Fincantieri shipyard in January 2021, Silver Dawn is currently being fitted with an elegant interior. She is expected to be the shipping company's tenth ship to be delivered in November 2021. The Silver Origin and Silver Moon were already taken over last year.

Great expectations

As a sister ship to the Silver Muse, which left the Fincantieri shipyard in April 2017, and the Silver Moon, which was launched in October 2020, the Silver Dawn will be the third ship in the Muse class. It is part of the long-term growth and improvement strategy for the already luxurious fleet. She will accommodate 596 guests in 298 Ocean View Suites. 96 percent of them will have their own veranda. The ratio of crew members to passengers will therefore be 1:1.45. The intimate feeling that guests of the fleet appreciate so much will therefore also be upheld on the new addition. Passengers can look forward to numerous innovations and improvements compared to the previous ships. The shipping company is not yet revealing exactly what these will be. What is certain is that the Silver Dawn also promises maximum comfort, unique on-board experiences and fantastic routes all over the world.

"Our long-standing relationship with Fincantieri continues to push the boundaries in the ultra-luxury cruise industry," says Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises. "The unwavering support and expertise of the Royal Caribbean Group has been invaluable to the construction of the ship," he explains of the role of the American parent company. "While Silver Dawn has been influenced by our popular Silver Muse and Silver Moon ships, our guests will benefit from many pioneering features on board our tenth member of the fleet," he promises.

With this newbuild, the luxury cruise line is once again demonstrating not only its own resilience, but also the hopes of the entire industry. The maiden voyage of the Silver Dawn is planned for November 2021. The ten-day cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon will start on November 9. It will then take 13 days to cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale.
