Silver Moon sets sail on June 18, 2021

Silversea's new arrival starts with Greece cruises

The new flagship of the Monegasque luxury shipping company will kick off its maiden season with ten-day introductory round trips to the ports of Santorini, Paros, Mykonos, Crete, Haifa in Israel and Cyprus. The trips can already be booked, but vaccination is a prerequisite.

Travel with safety protocol

Silversea Cruises took delivery of the new luxury ship Silver Moon from Fincantieri on October 30 last year. The ship, which according to the shipping company embodies the epitome of luxury travel in the 21st century, is a sister ship to the Silver Muse. It can accommodate a total of 596 passengers - a guarantee for intimate cruises and a family atmosphere on board. As usual, accommodation is provided in spacious suites equipped with every comfort. The 411 crew members ensure an optimum care and service ratio. The Silver Moon also offers guests more personal space than luxury ships from other cruise lines.

The Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) program is brand new. The culinary concept enables guests to gain in-depth gastronomic insights into the respective destinations. These are adapted depending on the destination. Three new restaurants on deck 4 will spoil guests in this respect. The popular Atlantide and Kaiseki restaurants, which are already familiar from the Silver Muse, will remain, but will be redesigned. La Dame will also be found on the Silver Moon as the signature restaurant of the Silversea fleet. New compared to its sister ship are the designs of the lounges and retreats. The "Connoisseur's Corner" on deck 9 will have a new lounge and winter garden, a fine selection of cigars and premium spirits. Guests will also be able to enjoy an improved pool deck and a redesigned spa with fitness center.

To ensure that all future Silversea Cruises cruises are as safe as possible, a new coronavirus protocol has been introduced. This means that all crew members and guests must be fully vaccinated before setting sail. Only those who can present a negative test are allowed on board. There is also an extensive health screening before embarkation. For the time being, the Silversea fleet is cruising with reduced capacity in order to offer every passenger plenty of space. Until further notice, shore excursions are only available at low-risk destinations and as part of certified, organized tours. Masks are compulsory in public areas.
