Shangri-La Jeddah: Luxury with a panoramic view

First resort in the desert state for the founding of the kingdom

Saudi Arabia is currently doing everything it can to establish itself as a new tourist destination. Lavish new openings and regional development projects, such as AlUla, mark the entry into a new era. Shangri-La is no exception. The luxury hotel chain opened its first resort in the desert state just in time for the Saudi Arabian kingdom's foundation day on February 22, 2022. It is located in one of the top addresses in the capital Jeddah: the Burj Assila. With 64 floors and a height of 260 meters, the tallest building in the city will be the place to be for luxury travelers.

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the 148 deluxe rooms, 55 suites and 17 serviced apartments offer views of the metropolitan skyline and the Red Sea. However, these views are not only enjoyed from the balconies and windows of the rooms. On the seventh floor, a 25-metre-long panoramic outdoor pool also provides special views. While the kids are well looked after in the children's club, parents can relax in the wellness club with spa. This extends over two floors. In addition to an extensive range of fitness and wellness facilities, there are also saunas, a whirlpool, hammam and numerous treatment rooms. The award-winning spa brand Natura Bissé is used.

In culinary terms, the hotel combines the traditional flavors of the East with international dishes. Guests can choose from three restaurants: while the Shang Palace celebrates the hotel group's Asian roots, guests can also dine in a typical Arabian ambience. The Waterfront Kitchen is inspired by the design of a yacht. Here you can enjoy tandoori, seafood, pizza and mezze from the live cooking stations. Coffee and chocolate creations from the Copa patisserie will satisfy your sweet tooth.
The Shangri-La Jeddah is located in the city's most important shopping district. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the venue for Formula One in Saudi Arabia, is also just a few meters away. This makes the new luxury hotel particularly central and the ideal destination for business and leisure travelers.
