Step into the top hotel industry

DAS.GOLDBERG in Bad Hofgastein receives fifth star - Casual luxury in harmony with nature

Valuable milestone: The nature and design hotel DAS.GOLDBERG is now a five-star hotel and is the only hotel in the Gastein Valley to be awarded this distinction. The family-run hotel has been one of the leading establishments in Salzburger Land for many years and is constantly offering guests new vacation experiences at the highest level. As recently as 2024, extensive investments were made to extend the infinity pool to an impressive 22 meters, create additional wellness highlights such as a cold water pool with waterfall and redesign the restaurant and bar area. The highest classification of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce is impressive proof of the hosts' commitment. Guests now benefit, for example, from a 24-hour service at reception and even higher quality food and drinks. "The five-star classification is a great honor and recognition for us. Our passion for hospitality combined with innovative concepts, the unique interplay of modern design and alpine elegance as well as our strong focus on sustainability make DAS.GOLDBERG a special place of relaxation and inspiration," says host Vera Seer. An overnight stay in Studio S can be booked from 200 euros per person including Goldberg cuisine.

However, it is not only the secluded location on a high plateau with panoramic views that makes DAS.GOLDBERG so special, but above all the extensive range of wellness and activities on offer at any time of year. The natural swimming lake with sandy beach, which is heated with sustainable geothermal energy, is a real favorite in the summer months right through to autumn. But the rest of the spa area also promises a pure feel-good atmosphere thanks to bright relaxation rooms with mountain views, various saunas, the GOLD.STOLLEN caldarium and treatments with natural components such as mountain salt, honey or deep moor.

Absolute plus point in winter: DAS.GOLDBERG is the only hotel in the Gastein Valley located directly on the ski slopes. Without a car or shuttle, guests can start their winter fun with 220 kilometers of slopes and 80 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. The nearby Schlossalmbahn cable car takes piste fans directly from the valley to the mountain station in the Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski area without having to change.

The restaurant and bar area was redesigned last year in line with the motto Forest.Meadow.Valuables, which can be found throughout the hotel. Regional plants such as mountain pines and ferns, oiled floors made from local woods, design elements made from wool and linen and floor-to-ceiling glass fronts create a sophisticated yet modern ambience. From breakfast to fine dining in the evening, DAS.GOLDBERG focuses almost exclusively on regional products from Austria and homemade products. For example, jams, herbal salts, liqueurs, syrups and lemonades are homemade.
