The renowned Hotel Palace Merano, Italy's first medical spa, which developed the pioneering Revital® method more than 20 years ago, is celebrating its seasonal opening in March 2025. After extensive modernization, the Medical Spa offers its guests an even more exclusive wellness and health concept.
The Palace Merano reopens its doors in March and sets new standards in the field of medical spa and holistic wellness. Over 20 years ago, it was Italy's first medical spa to introduce the Revital® method, a unique combination of functional, allopathic and energetic medicine, supplemented by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The aim is to detoxify the body, restore energy balance and achieve sustainable health goals.
Nestled in the impressive landscape of Merano, the five-star hotel offers 99 elegant rooms, including 14 junior suites and 30 suites, spread across the main palace, the castle and the panoramic terrace. The hotel's own 6,000 m² medical spa area houses a state-of-the-art 1,500 m² medical center.
The SPA at the Palace Merano sets new standards in terms of relaxation and regeneration. It has 18 cabins for hydro-fango therapy, 6 for hydro-jet treatments and 19 for beauty treatments. There are also relaxation and meditation areas, an indoor pool, saunas - including a separate women's sauna - a hammam, a Kneipp path and a 31-metre outdoor pool with whirlpool loungers, Jacuzzi and bar service. The fitness room overlooking the park is equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and offers a variety of indoor and outdoor sports activities with personal trainers. The SPA focuses on personalized treatments with advanced technology and natural products. Guests can look forward to therapeutic massages, head, back and abdominal treatments, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, peelings, facials and an exclusive boutique with Revital® cosmetics and a hairdressing salon.
Exclusive innovations in 2025
Following the extensive renovation in 2024, further renovations are planned for 2025 in the two restaurants, the pool and sauna area and the Panorama Suite. Brand new to the program: the Sports Recovery Lab and the Relax & Balance department. The innovative Revital Sport & Recovery® programme is aimed at (professional) athletes and guests who want to optimize their physical performance or regenerate after injuries. It combines state-of-the-art diagnostics with individually tailored training and recovery programs. Highlights include biomechanical analyses, personalized muscle building and mobility exercises, cryotherapy and specialized massages for muscle regeneration. The offer is complemented by individually tailored nutrition plans and medical care to ensure holistic recovery and improved performance. The Relax & Balance program, which is also new, focuses on stress management and improving sleep and concentration.

The Palace Merano offers three tailor-made programs with five targeted therapeutic approaches for an individual wellness experience:

b. Revital Spa: Combination of hydro-fango therapy, energy massages and hydro-aromatherapy for physical and mental renewal.

b. Sport Performance: For athletes of all levels with diagnostics (posture, biomechanics, cognition, DEXA scan, blood values) and targeted training, including cryotherapy, floatation therapy and sports massages.
3. Revital Mind & Body® - relaxation & inner balance
