Amsterdam, London, Doha, Mexico's Pacific coast and Japan's tropical south: The Rosewood Group is opening five new hotels this year alone - quite an extraordinary commitment for a luxury brand. The first was Rosewood Miyakojima in March. Located on an island in the province of Okinawa, it is the first Rosewood in the Land of Smiles. The 55 villas (150 - 200 m2) designed by Studio Piet Boon from the Netherlands are inspired by local handicrafts and all have their own pools and lush gardens with views over Oura Bay.
