Rosewood comes to San Francisco

Luxury brand hotel to open in the Transbay District in 2026

15 levels of the almost 244-metre-high, 61-storey skyscraper in the new Transbay District skyscraper will be dedicated to luxury travel, as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts announced. However, fans of the brand will have to be patient until the opening. This is not due to happen until 2026. But one thing is already certain: it will be worth the wait.

First-class location

Designed by the internationally successful architects of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, the skyscraper will be one of the last of its kind to rise into the San Francisco sky in the near future. Located in the Transbay District, it offers access to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the award-winning Salesforce Park. This two-acre outdoor oasis offers visitors walking trails, interactive art installations, a children's playground and an amphitheater for cultural events. The skyscraper is just one of three buildings directly connected to the park by a pedestrian bridge.

"As one of North America's most dynamic and innovative cities, San Francisco offers an eclectic mix of culture, cuisine, art, technology and adventure and is an ideal destination for the Rosewood brand," said Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group. "We are thrilled to be part of this revolutionary new development and look forward to providing our affluent explorers and San Francisco residents with a stylish and sophisticated new icon to enjoy for years to come."

Guests staying in the approximately 180 planned rooms and suites will be able to unwind in Salesforce Park or use the hotel near Union Square and the piers as a base from which to explore the city. In the hotel itself, they can expect everything that Rosewood is known for: outstanding and attentive service, the Asaya Signature Wellness concept, a fitness center, a range of event locations, an indoor and outdoor restaurant, the patisserie and the Manor Club. The latter is the brand's private lounge concept.
The Rosewood San Francisco will be the brand's third hotel in California after the Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park and the Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito.
