Spotlight Voyages promise unique experiences on board and ashore

In the 2021/22 season, guests of leading luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises can embark on 13 new Spotlight voyages. These cruises focus on unique experiences. The offer ranges from voyages for food and wine lovers, history buffs and Broadway fans to voyages for journalism and science enthusiasts.


More than destination visits

In addition to culinary highlights with excellent chefs and wine tastings with renowned experts, the program also includes insightful panel discussions. One of these trips, for example, is the "Spotlight on Cuisine" cruise, which departs from Lisbon on April 15, 2022 and travels to Barcelona on its 11-day route. During the cruise on the Seven Seas Voyager around the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and Morocco, award-winning food and bestselling author Mark Bittman will be on board. The author of 30 books and former head of the food section of the New York Times Magazine will give passengers a unique and up-close look at his work. Cocktail parties, onshore hosting experiences and live cooking sessions are the focus of this voyage.

Another new Spotlight voyage takes passengers to the US West Coast and the Mexican Riviera. The "Spotlight on Hollywood" cruise on the Seven Seas Mariner from October 3 to 15, 2022 presents the best of Hollywood with award-winning film and television writers, producers and directors from some of America's most successful sitcoms. For example, producer and writer Jeffrey Richman (Modern Family, Frasier, Wings) and nine-time Emmy award-winner David Lee (Cheers, The Jeffersons) will provide an opportunity for direct interaction with experts in the craft of film. Special screenings will take place at the Constellation Theater, and guests can also look forward to sunny ports of call in Mexico.
