Raffles on course for expansion
The luxury hotel brand doubles in size
These are exciting times for Raffles. The brand recently announced the opening of several new hotels. This year will see the addition of a second hotel in Dubai (The Palm), as well as branches in Bahrain, Udaipur and Macau. Flagships in London, Boston, Doha and Jeddah will follow in 2022. A Raffles in Moscow is planned for 2023.
Opening soon
Raffles The Palm Dubai is currently under construction. It will be Raffles' first ultra-luxury resort in the Middle East and is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2021. In addition to the magnificent panoramic view of the sea and the Dubai skyline, the outstanding features will certainly be the short distance to the vibrant heart of the city with its attractions and the spa. The latter offers 23 treatment rooms, two private spa suites and the largest indoor pool in the city. This Raffles offshoot also celebrates hospitality at the highest level. The legendary butler service and eight new lifestyle food and beverage experiences promise an unforgettable stay.
The Raffles Manama (Bahrain) is also scheduled to open this year. Guests will have a total of 78 elegant villas at their disposal, including 56 Desert Villas with one bedroom and pool and 22 Royal Villas with two bedrooms and pool. The ambience will be typically Arabian, with echoes of the Arabian Nights mingling with modern Asian design. Arabesque furnishings and elegant materials from the Far East combine to create an unmistakable interior design. The hotel is said to have the largest spa and hydrotherapy center in the Middle East. It offers the world's first garden hammam and a hydrothermal spa covering a total of 10,000 square meters. It goes without saying that service and cuisine are also important here. There are numerous event venues and attractions in the immediate vicinity.
Raffles has announced the opening of Raffles Macau (China) for the second half of 2021. Complementing the Galaxy Macau, it will be a unique, integrated, world-class luxury resort. Around 450 suites represent a whole new level of sophistication and elegance. The architecture is based on modern Italian palazzi. Tech-savvy guests are already looking forward to Samsung The Frame Hospitality. The technology allows the guest rooms to be transformed into a versatile screen. Tailor-made experiences and a personal ambience are guaranteed.
Planned properties
Next year's openings are already seen as important milestones for the brand, which is more than doubling its portfolio with the planned new additions. Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences is the brand's first mixed-use hotel in North America. In London, Raffles London at The OWO and The OWO Residences by Raffles will open in a building originally completed in 1906. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Raffles Jeddah will welcome 181 guest rooms and 188 branded apartments.
