The American luxury cruise line Princess Cruises will embark on a special voyage in Fort Lauderdale/Florida on January 5, 2023. The ship will be underway for almost four months during its "Wolrd Cruise 2023". It will call at 50 destinations in 31 countries and on six continents. Underway on the world's oceans

After disembarking in Fort Lauderdale/Florida, the Island Princess first heads for the Panama Canal. It heads up the American west coast to Los Angeles, then continues across the Pacific to Hawaii. Exotic destinations in the South Seas archipelagos such as Bora Bora and Tahiti provide a tropical feeling before New Zealand and Australia are on the program. From Southeast Asia, with stops in Singapore and Phuket, for example, the ship cruises to Sri Lanka, the Gulf region with Muscat and Dubai and then through the Suez Canal to the Eastern Mediterranean.

There, the route includes landings in Israel, Greece and Turkey, after which passengers visit ports on the Adriatic, for example Kotor, Split or Venice. In the Western Mediterranean, the Island Princess stops in Rome, Monte Carlo and Marseille, among other places, before making its way along the Iberian Peninsula to the Canary Islands. From there, the Island Princess crosses the Atlantic back to the USA.

Passengers who complete the entire journey will cross the equator twice, visit 21 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and even experience some cities at night, as the Island Princess stays in port overnight. 50 destinations, 31 countries and six continents can then be crossed off the bucket list. A shorter route (97 days) starts on January 19 in Los Angeles. The shipping company will announce further itineraries in the coming months. For reservations made by August 31, 2021, an onboard credit of USD 500 per person in a double cabin and four free visits to the specialty restaurants are included.
