Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest independent luxury hotel brand , is continuing its growth trajectory in Central Europe. In 2024 and 2025, seven new hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will expand the brand's exclusive portfolio. These new additions offer guests unique experiences - from exquisite Michelin-starred cuisine to authentic local discoveries.

Strategic expansion & new member hotels

With the appointment of Jürgen Hoch as Regional Director, Central & Eastern Europe and the promotion of Raimund Notz to Account Director, Central & Eastern Europe, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its presence in the DACH region. From their Munich office, they now manage a growing portfolio of 28 member hotels, including six hotels from the renowned Legend Collection.

Particularly noteworthy is the inclusion of the Edelweiss Salzburg Mountain Resort in Grossarl, Austria, in the Legend Collection - an exclusive group of hotels that stand for the highest level of luxury. Other new members who joined the brand in 2024:

- Hotel Château Gütsch , Lucerne, Switzerland
- Appenzeller Huus - Huus Löwen , Gonten, Switzerland
- Das Achental , Grassau am Chiemsee, Germany (with three Michelin stars and its own 18-hole golf course)
- Hotel Kitzhof - Mountain Design Resort , Kitzbühel, Austria
- The Lodge , Verbier, Switzerland (part of Richard Branson's Virgin Limited Edition)

Sustainable growth with Beyond Green

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is also expanding in the sustainable hotel sector: Beyond Green, the group's environmentally conscious sister brand, welcomed its first member in the DACH region in 2024. The organic and wellness resort Stanglwirt in the Kitzbühel Alps combines sustainable luxury accommodation with environmentally friendly practices and reflects the increasing demand for authentic, transformative travel experiences.
