Bio and wellness resort Stanglwirt
A backdrop that makes you pause for thought: In front of the majestic Wilder Kaiser, the Stanglwirt becomes a place of arrival - characterized by genuine Tyrolean warmth. Under the motto "At home at the Stanglwirt", the organic and wellness resort welcomes its guests with the feeling of having arrived - as an organic farm with an integrated luxury hotel that combines closeness to nature and the highest level of comfort in a special way. In a history that began over 400 years ago and has been in the hands of the Hauser family since 1722.
What was once an inn has grown into a luxurious, twelve-hectare hotel complex of the highest international standard - without forgetting its roots. "Organic" is not a trend here, but an attitude: an organic hotel was built using local resources back in 1980. With the new Stanglwirt bio-energy power plant, the resort is continuing its sustainable approach and using Tyrolean wood gasifier high-tech to generate climate-friendly electricity and heat from regional wood chips in a closed loop - and also binds CO₂ using biochar. The majority of the meat and dairy products come from the hotel's own 100-hectare farm, while the mountain cheese comes from the hotel's own cheese dairy. And the water from the Kaiser spring is also a trademark of the hotel: with its special quality, it is a valuable ingredient that supports the sophisticated table culture at the Stanglwirt.
The power of nature is also evident in the wellness worlds: water from the hotel's own Kaiser spring is used efficiently thanks to heat pump technology and feeds the spacious water areas - over 1,500 m² - in an impressive 12,000 m² pool and sauna landscape in the indoor and outdoor areas. Natural stone, solid wood and green moss set architectural accents, while the hotel's own brine pool, the largest in Europe, is a particular highlight. Adults can relax in quiet retreat zones by the crackling open fire with a view of the mountains and the Lipizzaner paddocks; professional sauna infusions round off the experience. Families love the 1,000 m² children's water world with a 120-metre slide, the children's farm and a lovingly nature-oriented program - including children's carpentry and a handmade children's alp made from regional old wood.
Those looking for activity will find it in extraordinary variety: fitness garden, riding hall with private Lipizzaner stud farm, 13 tennis courts including the renowned PBI tennis school, 14 km of Stanglwirt waters based on the "catch & release" principle as well as a driving range including a private Golf Sport Academy. In addition: fantastic mountain bike routes, in-house rental of professional mountain and e-bikes and, in winter, a private ski school with practice area right on the hotel grounds, including exclusive shuttle transfers to the best ski areas in the region.
And then there is the taste of the hotel: organic cuisine with carefully selected regional suppliers - and delicacies from the hotel's own organic farm, served in the restaurants or in summer on the Kaiserwiese with panoramic views. The Kuhstall-Stube is legendary: dining with a view of cows and calves - an experience you won't forget. "Leni's", a family restaurant exclusively for hotel guests, has also recently opened: light and international at lunchtime, Mediterranean family-style in the evening - for sharing, laughing and being together.
A place that grounds and inspires: The Stanglwirt is not a place to stay. It is a feeling - of being "at home", in the middle of Tyrol.
