New wellness medical retreat at Palazzo Fiuggi

The historic hotel in Italy will open its new medical spa in May 2021

Palazzo Fiuggi was already 107 years old when extensive renovation work began in June 2020. This involved transforming the hotel's former conference center into a new spa area. This covers 6,000 square meters and is due to open in May 2021. The goals that have been set are ambitious. The Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Retreat is set to become one of the best medical spas in the world.

Innovation meets tradition

In future, Palazzo Fiuggi will combine the best of all worlds on several levels. On the one hand, the flair of the traditional historic building has been preserved, but the 102 rooms and suites leave no wish unfulfilled. In the kitchen, 3-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck provides culinary delights. The historic palace is now complemented by the ultra-modern medical and wellness area, which offers guests 42 treatment rooms as well as a thalassotherapy pool, a hydro-circle, three further swimming pools, a fitness studio and a hammam. An adjoining research laboratory is dedicated to regenerative medicine in connection with the world-famous healing waters of Fiuggi. This has proven to be just as effective in the treatment of kidney stone disease as it is for urinary tract infections, joint complaints and musculoskeletal problems. The water in the small town around 80 kilometers from Rome also acts as a fountain of youth. Even popes and artists such as Michelangelo are said to have reawakened their spirits with a hearty drink here since the first century AD.

In the integrative 360-degree approach of the Palazzo Fiuggi Medical concept, the oldest holistic approaches merge with the most advanced Western medicine to create a form of therapy that goes beyond the treatment of symptoms. Body, mind and soul are considered as a unit. "Palazzo Fiuggi and the medical concept that I developed with a team of experts are the result of years of research and experience," explains Lorenzo Giannuzzi. The CEO of Forte Village in Sardinia and founder of the Palazzo Fiuggi Medical concept is already looking forward to reopening the hotel's doors in spring. Just at the right time, he believes: "2021 will be the year in which we fully regain our health and well-being," Giannuzzi is convinced. And what could be better for a reset than a place where you feel completely at ease and that impresses with its exclusivity and service?

The five carefully designed programs are supported in their 360-degree approach by a selection of à la carte treatments. An international team of renowned scientists and doctors ensure that every guest receives the perfect program for them. The offer ranges from the cleansing Life Rewind program to the Immune Boost program, the Optimal Weight and Detox program, the Mindful Movement program and the Emotional Wellbeing program. Each package can be booked for seven or fourteen days. If you don't have that much time, you can take advantage of a four-day Intro Wellness program.
