Market entry for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
THE WELLEM- The Art Of Being Unique
THE WELLEM is not defined by conventional hotel categories, but by unique experiences, the elements of which are the ambience of the building, the presence of art and the artistic spirit of its namesake, Baroque Prince Jan Wellem (1658-1716), as well as perfect and personalized service. The majestic rooms of the former court building from the early 20th century merge with a modern and stylish interior design that invites guests from home and abroad to feel at home and be amazed. The sophisticated style, coupled with a contemporary flair, reflects a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
THE WELLEM is the only all-suite hotel in Düsseldorf and offers its guests 102 spacious and quiet studios and suites, divided into seven categories. Each accommodation unit has a separate sleeping and living area, with the exclusive Terrace Art Suites on the fifth floor offering access to the roof terrace. Highlight: All studios and suites are decorated with original works of art by internationally renowned artists. Equipped with a fully-fledged kitchen, high-quality Bluetooth speakers and tablet PCs, the suites offer every guest a modern living experience with an absolute feel-good flair, making them the ideal temporary home away from home. Culinary sophistication is provided by three restaurants, where guests can enjoy some of Germany's culinary highlights or indulge in the flavors and aromas of the Mediterranean.
Its location in the beautiful Andreas Quartier could not be more perfect for excursions of all kinds in the lively metropolis. The city center with its small alleyways, restaurants and cafés is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The main train station is just 4 stops away on the subway. Depending on traffic, the airport is no more than 15 minutes away by cab.
Art as inspiration and a fixed concept
The hotel houses an impressive collection of contemporary art, which is exhibited throughout the property and in the guest suites, including works by internationally renowned artists such as Jeff Koons (USA), the German action artist HA Schult and the American painter Julian Schnabel. In addition, guests have access to the hotel's exclusive private Art Concierge, who will introduce guests to the masterpieces on display and offer guided tours of nearby museums and art galleries, including the K20 art collection and the City of Düsseldorf Art Academy, tailored to individual interests.
"Under the motto The art of being unique, our mission is to celebrate the individuality of every guest who walks through our doors with personalized service. Our hotel offers the perfect playground for individually minded guests and we want them to create their own experiences at Germany's first luxury boutique hotel within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand portfolio," says Till Westheuser.
