Naladhu in new splendor
The luxury retreat opens in November 2021 with an upgrade
The Naladhu Private Islands Maldives has already impressed guests with 20 beautiful villas that guarantee maximum privacy. But now the five-star hotel is treating itself to an upgrade. New York designer Yuji Yamazaki was brought into the team for the redesign. And he has big plans. The reopening of the luxury resort is planned for November 2021.

Upgrade for the Villas
#Yamazaki proceeds with great sensitivity. He maintains the modern-colonial style of the island that guests appreciate so much. At the same time, the 20 villas have been given a light color scheme and straightforward furniture. These not only fit perfectly on the tropical island, but also make the room concept even more airy. The impression of space is created in every single villa. The tropical vegetation and the gardens of the villas further reinforce this impression. Speaking of gardens: a local flower blooms in each garden, giving the villa its name. Beach Houses have their own access to the lagoon, while the Ocean Houses have a spacious panoramic terrace and a private beach cabana. In both categories, guests can make themselves comfortable in around 300 square meters of living space. All villas have their own pool.
However, the pièce de résistance is probably the 600 square meter Pool Residence. Located at the tip of the island, it offers two bedrooms, a 20-metre-long sandy beach and, of course, its own pool - hence the name. This makes the Pool Residence the perfect hideaway for guests who value even more privacy.
Resort without fixed dinner spots
The many luxurious amenities for which Naladhu Private Island Maldives is known will not change. Guests will still be able to take advantage of a 24-hour butler service. The popular "No-Menu Dine Anywhere" concept will also remain. It allows guests to enjoy their meal anytime and anywhere in the resort. Incidentally, this comes from the multicultural team led by Peruvian chef Patricio Basombrio Cedano. Typical dishes from Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, Arabia, Italy and France are masterfully prepared here. Guests can look forward to a renovation of the restaurant, bar and wine cellar. The spa is also getting a facelift.
In future, even more emphasis will be placed on sustainability. The new Naladhu Private Island will no longer use single-use plastic. In addition, travelers can connect with nature on guided hikes and learn about the ecosystem, flora and fauna of the Maldives. The resort's own marine biologist shares his knowledge of the ocean and its colorful underwater world. Good idea: the existing hotel furniture, which had to make way for the renovation, was donated to a mental health hospital in the Maldives.
Bookings are already possible, an overnight stay in the Beach House for up to two people costs from 1,654 euros including breakfast.
