Nala Maldives by Jawakara Islands opens in Lhaviyani Atoll
Adults-only resort with wellness, sports and access to two island worlds
With Nala Maldives by Jawakara Islands, Crown & Champa Resorts is expanding its portfolio with a new adults-only resort in Lhaviyani Atoll. Since December 2025, the boutique resort has been welcoming guests aged 12 and over on an island of around ten hectares , accessible via a 35-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The concept combines tranquillity and privacy with the offer of two interconnected islands.
Dual island concept with extended leisure facilities
Guests of Nala Maldives benefit from access to the facilities of the neighboring Jawakara Islands. Restaurants, sports facilities and other leisure activities are available via a three-minute speedboat connection. The offer is complemented by visits to the Jawakara Atoll Research Center and the Sea Turtle Health Institute, which is dedicated to sea turtle rehabilitation and marine research.
Villas, spa and culinary variety
The resort has 80 one-bedroom villas in various categories, including beach and overwater villas with private pools or direct lagoon access. In some cases, solar-powered energy systems are used. The Sulha Spa offers a salt room, red light therapy, sauna and cold bath as well as a wide range of wellness and Ayurveda treatments. Culinary offerings range from international cuisine to Mediterranean and Asian specialties, complemented by bars and snack concepts.
Water sports, diving and sustainability in focus
Sporty guests can choose from an extensive water sports and leisure program, including kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, wakeboarding and jet skiing. The diving center in cooperation with Prodivers Maldives offers access to over 60 dive sites in the atoll as well as certified courses. On land, various sports fields, fitness centers and golf courses are available on Jawakara Islands. Sustainability plays a central role, including house reef snorkeling zones and coral restoration projects to promote the marine ecosystem.
