Connoisseurs particularly enjoy checking into the Hotel BLÜ. In the middle of the pedestrian zone on Kaiser Franz Platz in Hofgastein, they meet like-minded people to blossom. The contemporary Hotel BLÜ is full of good vibes. Cheerful interiors, modern art and unusual details characterize the hotel.

In HimmelBLÜ, with the most beautiful view of the Gastein mountains, you can get very close to heaven - whether during yoga, in the sauna or ice bathing on the roof garden. Sit in the 90° sauna and soak up the power of the Gastein Valley, or sweat it out at 50° in the bio sauna, then explore your own mental strength in the ice bath on the roof garden. And relax in the warmth with a view of the Schlossalm.

Skiing is wonderful in the Gastein Valley anyway. The lift takes you up to 2,600 meters above sea level, making Gastein one of the most snow-sure ski regions in Austria. But Gastein is a real winter hit even without alpine skiing. The cross-country ski trails are wonderfully groomed. Tobogganing, ice skating, horse-drawn sleigh rides, winter hiking - it's all possible.

Food & drink is a top priority at the BLÜ. Eva Eder - herself well-traveled and an aficionado when it comes to delicacies from all over the world - brings the best from near and far into the house. It is world cuisine that chef Marcus Langhammer cooks in the spirit of a modern, sustainable food culture. You can enjoy typical dishes from Tel Aviv, New York, Vienna and Bangkok as well as from Morocco, Italy and the Salzburg region.

Après-ski with style & a hotel bar for all occasions

Locals and guests alike meet at the BLÜ Bar. Right on Kaiser-Franz-Platz, a quick espresso from the Viennese roastery Röstraum or a delicious glass of apricot juice from the Malat winery, a small beer from a local brewery or a perfectly balanced drink to accompany a live concert, DJ line or après-ski in style await. There's room for everything at the BLÜ Bar.

Art, literature and jazz at the Blü

On the walls throughout the hotel, guests will find pictures by artists from all over the world. Curated by designer Josephine Wagner (formerly of Galerie Raum mit Licht Vienna), exciting works flourish. The walk through the hotel thus becomes a visit to a gallery.

Host Eva Eder has been a passionate reader since her youth and her books have moved into the Blü with her. A library has been created on the second floor of the main building as a cozy retreat, full of books, magazines, art and with a view of Kaiser Franz Platz. Those who prefer to write themselves can take a seat at the secretary in the adjoining writing room.

Dog Love

Dogs are not only allowed at Hotel BLÜ, they are expressly welcome and well looked after. After all, Poldi, a mongrel dog rescued from starvation, is the real boss at the BLÜ. Gastein is generally a great dog location, the four-legged friends love to play in the snow and wonderful winter hiking trails invite you to take long walks.
