Masseria Donna Menga
Off to Apulia
Near the baroque picture-book town of Lecce and within easy reach of the "Italian Caribbean", as the region with Puglia's most beautiful beaches is also known, the Masseria Donna Menga opened its doors this summer to pampered travelers from all over the world. The restored 16th century farmhouse is one of the newest and most individual additions to the Leading Hotels of the World portfolio and boasts 24 rooms and suites that have been brought up to luxury standards by local craftsmen. Guests of the stately estate dine in the Radici restaurant, which sources its ingredients mainly from the organic vegetable patches, olive groves and orchards surrounding the masseria.
The small garden area around the communal pool is also extremely "green" and enjoyable . Those looking for more privacy are best advised to book the elegant Junior Suite with plunge pool and large private terrace.
