Levantehaus Hamburg
First Conrad Hotel in Germany to open in 2024
The future Conrad Hamburg in the Levantehaus aims to bring international guests closer to the Hanseatic way of life with contemporary design and innovation, making it an attractive location for Hamburg residents too. It offers a total of 283 spacious rooms, including 25 suites and 32 apartments. In addition to the spacious lobby and reception, a lounge bar and a restaurant, the hotel has a large spa and fitness area, including a 20m pool and nine function rooms for up to 200 guests.
Built in 1912 by Franz Bach and Carl Bensel as an office building, it was one of the most modern office buildings in Germany at the time. The sandstone columns and an animal frieze by sculptor Barry Baldwin, combined with the mixture of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, still create an elegant, special atmosphere today. In 1997, the Levantehaus was converted into one of Hamburg's most stylish shopping arcades and since then has also been home to the luxury hotel, which will celebrate its reopening under the new brand in 2024.
