Jannah Lamu

Luxury on Lamu

Extraordinary places often attract extraordinary personalities, they say. This also applies to the sandy island of Lamu off the coast of Kenya and designer and hotelier Anna Trzebinski. With a lot of love and empathy for her adopted country, where she already owns another luxurious guesthouse, the Eden Hotel in Nairobi, the German-born self-made power woman has created a very special hideaway here.

Located on the village square of Shela Village, the seven rooms and suites of the Jannah Lamu are spread across two buildings with a typical island look. Each has a spectacular rooftop that serves as a stylish outdoor lounge with views across the island to Lamu Town and out to sea. Three artfully restored dhows and a teak cab boat are available for excursions.

The excursion program includes: Full moon and sunset sails, trips through the canal labyrinth to pristine dream beaches or lunch cruises to the famous Manda Bay Lodge.
