Located on the eastern shore of Lake Como , Il Sereno was designed by Patricia Urquiola and has quickly made a name for itself beyond the borders of Lombardy. The success of the hotel, which has just 30 suites, is reflected not least in the hotel's own Ristorante Al Lago, for which chef Raffaele Lenzi was awarded a Michelin star in November 2022 in record-breaking time.

One of the highlights of the hotel, which stands out from other hotels in the area for its extraordinary design alone, is the newly opened spa in the former boathouse, also designed by Patricia Urquiola. The cool appearance of the centuries-old granite walls in combination with various shades of green, which reflect the colors of the lake, has a calming effect on the senses. Two of the three treatment rooms have huge floor-to-ceiling windows that offer fantastic views of Lake Como. The third treatment room with integrated shower is intended for couples' treatments. The wellness area at Il Sereno also includes a sauna, a steam bath with Italian tiles and a private outdoor relaxation area with plunge pool.

For those who value luxury on arrival , the hotel's own Maserati Quattroporte can pick them up at Milan's Malpensa Airport. The limousine, equipped with leather and silk by Ermengildo Zegna, is of course also available for tours of the surrounding area. No less glamorous are the hotel's own motorboats from Ernesto Riva's legendary luxury shipyard, which guests can use for excursions on Lake Como.
