Huus Quell: New opening with an announcement

First Leading Hotel of the World in Appenzellerland

With the opening of the Huus Quell at the beginning of 2025 , Appenzellerland will receive its first 5-star superior hotel with the prestigious award of The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). This recognition confirms the hotel's exceptional concept, which uniquely combines luxury, wellness and a peaceful retreat.

Luxury wellness at the highest level

Particularly impressive is the most modern hotel spa in Switzerland , which offers exclusive indoor and outdoor facilities. The highlight is the impressive rooftop pool with spectacular views of nature. Initially, 30 rooms and suites will have privileged access to the Quell Spa, while further luxurious suites and apartments will follow by 2026.

A new hideaway in Eastern Switzerland

The Huus Quell is part of the Appenzeller Huus resort, which has already caused a stir with its sister hotels Huus Bären (3-star superior) and Huus Löwen (4-star superior) in Gonten.

General Manager Tim-Martin Weber sees the LHW award as confirmation of the high standard of the new resort: "Our aim is to establish a highly professional hotel business here in harmony with nature, with state-of-the-art wellness facilities, the largest wine cellar in Switzerland and an innovative bar concept. By partnering with LHW, we are setting new international standards."

In addition to classic spa offerings such as saunas, steam baths and relaxation areas, Huus Quell focuses on modern concepts such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, infrared therapy and biohacking. The lounge areas reflect the surroundings and are inspired by mountains, lakes and forests, with organic materials, waterfalls and atmospheric sound and light effects for a deeply relaxing ambience.
