Located directly on Zanzibar's long and sandy Muyuni Beach, the new Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa not only impresses with its location on the water, but also with its architecture and facilities. Designed in a modern style with traditional building elements from the region, the 250 suites with living spaces of between 59 and 401 m2 are spread across a large garden area. The highlight is a pool by the sea with a view of Mnemba Island and an offshore coral reef, which is ideal for snorkeling and diving. Water sports enthusiasts will find the right equipment and instruction at the resort's own Water Sports Center. Those who prefer to take it a little easier can relax in the Emerald Spa instead, where African-inspired treatments are offered alongside classic facials and massages. The buffet restaurant is also influenced by the region and serves Japanese, Chinese, Italian and vegetarian cuisine as well as island specialties. The Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa is scheduled to open on December 1, 2022.
