Hotel Palais Mailberger Hof: Vienna has a new jewel
New chapter for the historic Annagasse
In a prime location in Vienna's city center, an architectural gem has been given a new lease of life: The traditional ' Palais Mailberger Hof ' in Annagasse 7 has been reopened after extensive renovation and is now the 18th property of the up-and-coming ' Schiehser Hotels .
Baroque meets boutique
The palace, whose origins date back to 1452, combines baroque splendor with modern boutique style. Viennese firm BWM Designers & Architects is responsible for the stylish transformation, merging ornate stucco elements, Viennese wickerwork and understated minimalist aesthetics to create a timeless ensemble.
Retreat with charm
Located in the heart of the vibrant city center - just a few steps away from St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera - the hotel offers a real rarity: a leafy, enclosed inner courtyard that promises peace and relaxation.
Craftsmanship, history and champagne
The 50 individually designed rooms reflect the Austrian tradition of craftsmanship - from stucco-decorated ceilings to the preserved tiled stove in the suite. Highlights include the stylish Veuve Clicquot champagne bar, which has what it takes to become the new city hotspot, as well as an elegant, small sauna area for relaxing hours after a stroll through the city.
A place with personality
"As a new city hotel in a listed building, our Hotel Palais Mailberger Hof stands for the kind of quality tourism that Vienna and the Viennese want. We are a unique retreat for all those guests who want to fully immerse themselves in the historical, cultural and contemporary life of our city and return to us every day, to their relaxed retreat with a champagne bar," says Alexander Schiehser, the creative mind and namesake of Schiehser Hotels, describing the concept.
