Hotel La Palma, Capri becomes Masterpiece Hotel

The opening is planned for April 2022

When it opened in 1822, it was the first hotel on the Italian island of Capri. When it reopens in April 2022 following a comprehensive renovation, it will have been transformed into an elegant and exclusive hotel with just 50 rooms. The joint project between the renowned Oetker Collection and investor group Reuben Brothers is set to become the first Italian hotel in the Masterpiece Collection and once again the center of social life on the island.


Redesign of a legend

Hotel La Palma, Capri is the oldest hotel on the island, a symbol of serenity and elegance. Located in the south of the Gulf of Naples, it boasts breathtaking scenery, iconic restaurants and excellent shopping. As a destination for the modern jet set that can only be reached by water or air, it has everything that travelers long for on vacation.
The Italian "dolce vita" is also reflected in the newly interpreted Hotel La Palma, Capri. Without changing the spirit of the hotel formerly known as Locanda Pagano, the number of rooms has been reduced from 80 to 50, including 18 suites with their own balcony or terrace. Renowned architects such as Francesco Delogu from Delogu Architects in Rome and Adam Tihany and Alessia Genove from Tihany Design New York were responsible for the interiors.
Gennaro Esposito will pamper guests as head chef in future. He has already made a name for himself with his 2-Michelin-starred restaurant Torre del Saracino. Guests can expect unpretentious and authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a contemporary setting. After a successful dinner, you can celebrate in the adjacent and well-known nightclub La Taverna Anema e Core. The Rooftop Restaurant & Bar Bianca with a view of Capri Village or the new pool deck with bar are available for breathtaking moments.

La Palma Beach Club is located in the middle of the island's most popular restaurants and beaches, at Marina Piccola. Guests can reach it after a short drive. Or they can relax in the hotel's spa in the sauna, steam bath or pools, work out in the fitness area or stroll through the three exclusive boutiques of the Hotel La Palma, Capri. Situated just a short distance from Capri's piazza, Hotel La Palma is also the ideal starting point for a trip to the island's most famous sights, such as I Giardini di Augusto, Via Krupp, La Certosa and the imposing Faragolini. Even the "Grotta Azzura" can be reached from the hotel in a short time.
