Good things get even better in 2025. The Sonnenalp Resort in Ofterschwang in the Allgäu region has many new features this year. The rooms have been carefully renovated. New connecting doors create more flexibility and allow more privacy, for example if kids want their own area while still remaining within reach of their parents. When redesigning the rooms, great importance is attached to naturalness and sustainability. Only selected Allgäu specialist companies were chosen for the work. New things were not bought across the board and old things thrown away. Almost all of the furniture is still in use, has been fitted with new fabrics and the wood has been carefully refurbished. The wooden floors in the rooms have also received intensive care and shine in new splendor. All in all, great importance was attached to ensuring that the design is simple and straightforward, high-quality and timeless. The new nature lodges, which are being built on the sunny southern slope of the Sonnenalp, are also characterized by a fantastic mountain panorama and closeness to nature. The three premium nature lodges and two deluxe nature lodges are between 30 and 45 square meters in size and are fascinating as exclusive retreats in a contemporary alpine style with an optimum of closeness to nature, privacy and luxurious comfort. Here too, natural materials such as wood, stone, wool and hand-woven fabrics together with warm earth tones dominate the atmosphere and create a sense of well-being.

A new indoor riding arena including loft suites that will also delight non-riders
These will not be the only two innovations at the Sonnenalp Resort this year. The new indoor riding arena, which will be completed by the end of the year, will be an absolute highlight not only for horse lovers. A 20 x 40 meter hall with an impressive wooden construction with an open design and 180 degree glazing including a panoramic view of the Allgäu Alps. Other special features include windows that can be raised, a green roof terrace with a restaurant including an open show kitchen and a small farm store. Six new loft suites are being built above the indoor riding arena. A perfect location for anyone who loves horses and with a real equestrian farm feeling, especially for kids, who will be close to their beloved horses at all times.
