Grand Resort Bad Ragaz on the culinary Olympus

Six Michelin stars and one green Michelin star

       

Sven Wassmer, the gifted head chef of the Memories restaurant at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, and his team have been awarded an incredible three Michelin stars and a Green Michelin star in the new Michelin Guide 2022 for Switzerland! Only 138 restaurants worldwide can boast three Michelin stars - the Memories restaurant with its Alpine Swiss cuisine is now one of them. In total, the resort shines in the light of six Michelin stars and a green Michelin star for sustainability in gastronomy.


Starry sky:
At the glittering presentation in Lausanne, the stars for the restaurants IGNIV by Andreas Caminada (2 stars) and verve by sven (1 star) were confirmed. On the other hand, Sven Wassmer and his team received the third star for the restaurant Memories.

The Michelin Guide testers have extremely high praise for Memories: "Great cinema - that sums up Sven Wassmer's cuisine pretty well. He doesn't need any showy effects or technical gimmicks to achieve this; instead, he captivates with a uniqueness that is difficult to describe in words."


Tears of happiness:
Sven Wassmer moved to tears. "This is a dream come true for which I and the team have worked hard and put all our skills and spirit into every day," says the newly crowned Sven Wassmer.

The Grand Resort's restaurants have not only succeeded in confirming their star ratings over the last twelve months, but have even managed to increase them, as in the case of the Memory. This makes the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz one of the undisputed top addresses.

Michelin Guide:
The "Michelin Guide" has been in existence in Switzerland since 1994. The "Michelin" inspectors attach great importance to the fact that their award is for the restaurant and not the chef. This is where experts agree that cooking at star level is a team sport.
