Four Seasons: Living in a winery
The new resort in Napa Valley is open
Contemplation and harmony
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome guests to Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley," admits General Manager Mehdi Eftekari. He came from Manhattan three years ago to lead the creation of this property. The challenges he had to overcome included not only finding a talented team, but also putting together a well-thought-out offer. After all, the aim was to combine the best of the Napa lifestyle with the excellence of Four Seasons. There were few role models, as the new resort is the brand's first to be part of a functioning winery.
"At Four Seasons, we are always looking to introduce our guests to new places and experiences while bringing our own unique perspective to established destinations," said Christian Clerc, President, Global Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "Napa Valley is one of the most sought-after wine destinations in the world, so we knew we had to enter this market with a truly unparalleled offering - one that sets a new standard for modern luxury in the region."
Efektari and his team have done a great job to ensure that the Four Seasons Napa Valley is already recognized as the most exceptional in the region. The heart of the experience is the tranquil Elusa winery. Here guests will find a restaurant, a bar, locally inspired indoor and outdoor spa experiences, two pools and plenty of privacy. 85 rooms and suites are available to guests. Guests can look forward to signature Elusa wines as well as wine country experiences and the TRUSS Restaurant + Bar. The latter will be the new home of celebrated chef Erik Anderson.
The resort, located just 90 minutes from Oakland and Sacramento in the charming town of Calistoga, draws inspiration not only from wine, but also from the region's hot springs. Mud baths are therefore a must at Spa Talisa. Naturally, the most experienced wellness experts take care of their guests with tailor-made offers. The concierges at the new resort are also happy to help organize a road trip - the Four Seasons Napa Valley is already the luxury brand's ninth property in California.
