Four Seasons Explorer
A true island dream
Palau is one of the last paradises on earth.
With the Four Seasons Explorer, you can explore the island kingdom and its fascinating underwater worlds - and enjoy the highest level of luxury at the same time.
Palau is not a destination you come to by chance.
The Micronesian archipelago in the western Pacific is as worth seeing as it is remote. Those who take the long journey via Taipei, Honolulu, Guam, Manila, Brisbane or Singapore will first land in the Palauan capital of Koror - and then ideally on the Four Seasons Explorer, a 39-metre luxury catamaran that includes ten cabins and an Explorer Suite and offers its guests unparalleled access to 500,000 km2 of protected marine area, 340 emerald green islands and extraordinary diving, snorkelling, surfing and island adventures. The kaleidoscopic waters of Palau offer divers an underwater wonderland of stalactite caves, canyons, reefs, wrecks, drop-offs and blue holes. More than 600 species of hard and soft corals, huge schools of jackfish, wrasse, sweetlips and batfish live here, as well as peaceful reef sharks, manta and eagle rays, turtles and whale sharks. But there is also plenty to discover in the numerous lakes of the 500-plus islands - such as saltwater crocodiles or stingless jellyfish. Palau is also home to dense jungle, breathtaking Ngardmau Waterfall, mineral-rich white mud in the Milky Way Lagoon and remote coastlines to explore by kayak or paddleboard. Or you can treat yourself to a soothing massage on an almost deserted beach, relax with yoga and pranayama in the midst of the magnificent landscape or discover the 4,000-year-old culture of the islands, which is characterized by ancient songs and dances as well as modern music - and which bows to the generous nature that has nourished countless generations.
The inhabitants of Palau are distant relatives
of the Malays, Melanesians and Polynesians, while the culture shows Spanish, German and Japanese influences. Those who immerse themselves in the fascinating history of the islands are quickly infected by the deep-rooted value of "omengull" (respect for everything and everyone).
There is no more luxurious and flexible way to
to discover the magic of Palau than with the Four Seasons Explorer. With three decks, eleven sunlit accommodations, exemplary Four Seasons offerings and knowledgeable local guides, you can savor every moment in one of the world's last undiscovered areas. The on-board restaurant offers exclusive specialties of international cuisine prepared by world-class chefs both indoors and outdoors. Afterwards, you can relax in style in the air-conditioned lounge, browse through the curated treasures in the library or reflect on the day's adventures with a freshly shaken cocktail in one of the two bars. Or you can simply enjoy the picture-book view at sunset from the huge wooden sun deck - and look forward to the next day, which is full of unforgettable experiences.
From October 16, 2023
