FMTG soon also on Lake Garda
The South Tyrolean power formation of Erich Falkensteiner, Otmar Michaeler and Matteo Thun is also taking off on Lake Garda. At a press conference in Milan, the three men announced that the new Falkensteiner Park Resort Lake Garda is to be built in the small town of Salò by summer 2025. The FMTG Group purchased the 4.5-hectare grounds of an old mineral water factory located 300 meters from the lake. Both 170 living apartments and a 5-star hotel, which will be part of the Falkensteiner Premium Collection, will be built on an estate the size of 7 soccer pitches. Matteo Thun already has a long history with Falkensteiner, having built the edel:weiss Residences, two pine cone-shaped towers, on Katschberg for the group in 2009. For Lake Garda, he is planning a building that responds to the local Mediterranean microclimate and the windless location. Portuguese architect João Nunes is responsible for the landscape design and is planning many vertical gardens. The project is planned to be realized in two phases. In the first phase, which will be completed in 2025, the hotel and 96 Premium Living Apartments will be built. The remaining 74 apartments will be built by 2027 in the second phase. The total investment amounts to 140 million euros. The hotel will have both family and adults-only areas.
