Unique: It Mallorca Unique Spaces

Five exclusive boutique hotels with plenty of historic charm await design fans and art lovers on Mallorca

They have illustrious names such as Can Cera, Calatrava, Can Alomar and Sant Jaume. They are located in the best inner-city areas of Palma or, as in the case of Can Aulí, in Pollença. And what they have in common is the fact that they are all housed in historic palaces and time-honored manor houses. With a keen sense for old walls and an eye for detail, the two owners Miguel Conde and his wife Cristina Marti have succeeded in breathing new life into the aristocratic properties.

Unique design concept

The two treated each building like a treasure, but turned them into even more sparkling jewels with a unique design concept. Works of art by local artists adorn the public spaces and rooms. Fine fabrics, antique finds, curated design classics and contemporary pieces give each of the five boutique hotels on Mallorca its special charm. The result is a cozy "home away from home" feeling. Combined with little touches and a warm welcome, guests are sure to make lasting vacation memories here.

"All the buildings in which our hotels are housed have a past and tell thousands of stories. The idea of building new hotels on Mallorca therefore seems completely absurd to me. Especially on an island where there are so many beautiful, ageing buildings that are just waiting to be restored to their former glory," says Miguel Conde, describing the motivation for not simply slapping a new building into the landscape.

Pampering moments on Mallorca

The restaurants of the five hotels offer a variety of exquisite Mallorcan and Spanish creations. Only the best ingredients from the region end up in the cooking pots. Exquisite wines are the ideal accompaniment. The innovative De Tokio a Lima at Can Alomar deserves a special mention. Chef German de Bernardi serves imaginative fusion cuisine that combines Asian, Mediterranean and South American flavors. Last summer, the Cantina Panzà opened in the Hotel Sant Jaume. Here, the well-known two-star chef Fernando Pérez Arellano creates new interpretations of traditional recipes with Itziar Rodriguez.

The rooftops of the boutique hotels serve as oases of peace and relaxation. Private terraces with comfortable sun loungers and small pools invite you to unwind. Steam baths, saunas, jacuzzis and professional wellness treatments pamper you in the small and exquisite spas. Vegan products from the Spanish brand Seaskin are used here.

The personal concierge service is always present in all It Mallorca hotels. He takes care of the guests' wishes and is happy to share his best tips with them.
