Submarine action & luxury without compromise: the new Seabourn Venture
The new Seabourn Venture is a luxury-class expedition ship: a strong PC6 ice-class bow at the front, the elegant stern of a superyacht at the back, over 2,750 m² of open deck space in between, duplex suites with panoramic windows - and a landing zone with 24 Zodiacs and two submarines. The Seabourn Venture has the DNA of an expedition ship and the characteristics of a private yacht.
Decks three and four:
This is where the adventure begins. The heart of the Seabourn Venture is the Expedition Lounge on deck 4, where lectures and cultural events take place in the Discovery Center, which are transformed into real multimedia events on a ten-metre-wide screen. The Landing Zones on deck 3 are also fully designed for expeditions. 60 square meters on either side of the ship, guests change into their expedition gear for shore excursions and trips with the 24 on-board Zodiacs. The Seabourn Venture has two submarines on board so that as many guests as possible can enjoy this unique underwater adventure during their expedition cruise. They are reminiscent of manned research capsules and offer space for six passengers and the captain. Like the entire ship, the submarines are custom-built for the Seabourn Venture and its sister ship, the Seabourn Pursuit, which will be delivered in 2023.
Built for icy worlds.
The Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are built in accordance with ice resistance class PC 6 and are therefore suitable for use in icy and inaccessible waters. There is also a special gangway for use in pack ice. The DPS - the satellite-supported Dynamic Positioning System - enables anchoring without anchors in nature reserves. However, all these technical features would be worth much less without the world-class expedition team of researchers, scientists and adventurers who accompany guests on all expeditions.
Up close and personal - that's why you go on an expedition!
Seabourn makes this possible with some unique features such as the Bow Lounge, a virtual bridge with the same screens as on the real bridge. Incidentally, the latter is open to passengers! A particularly powerful camera and the ship's own drone transmit images in real time to all monitors on board - so you can watch polar bears up to four nautical miles away, for example!
Like all Seabourn ships, the Seabourn Venture is an all-suites ship
- with 132 Oceanfront Veranda Suites with custom-made furniture from the finest materials. The masterpiece on board is the innovative two-storey Grand Wintergarden Suite - with 130 square meters and two verandas. The Signature Suites with their own whirlpool and the forward-facing Owners Suites are also generously proportioned.
Luxury without compromise.
Seabourn makes no compromises when it comes to luxury and comfort on expedition cruises. The culinary offer is therefore also of the finest quality. And in keeping with Seabourn's all-inclusive philosophy, food and almost all drinks are included in the cruise price. All excursions with the Zodiacs and expeditions ashore are also included. Due to the limited capacity, only the submarine tours and kayak excursions are extra.
