For a long time, Bad Gastein attracted crowned heads and glamorous world stars as one of Austria's most glamorous resorts. But then the town by the waterfall fell into a deep slumber, from which it has only been gently kissed awake in recent years. The latest additions right in the center: the luxurious Straubing Grand Hotel and the lifestyle Badeschloss. Both hotels belong to Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts and have been extensively renovated. The highlight of the Straubinger is an outdoor infinity pool high above the valley and the roaring water. There are also 46 rooms and suites as well as a coffee house, bar and haute cuisine restaurant.
The "Alpine Swim Club", which sees itself as a mix of "refreshing spa hangout" and "vital community spot", is the meeting point in the Badeschloss. If you want to try it out: attractive opening rates apply in both hotels until 21.12.
