Three special occasions in one day

The Wilfinger Ring Bio Hotel celebrates its 50th anniversary, the 95th birthday of its founder and new investments

With a clear commitment to sustainability, health and innovation, Wilfinger Hotels are setting new standards in relaxation. What began as a vision decades ago now inspires health-conscious people with a sense of holism and quality.

An extraordinary occasion brought numerous regular guests and press representatives to Eastern Styria on May 10: Wilfinger Hotels hosted an anniversary celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ring Bio Hotel in Hartberg. Three important events were celebrated at the same time: the 50th anniversary of the traditional Wilfinger Ring Bio Hotel, extensive new investments and the 95th birthday of senior boss Roman Wilfinger, who laid the foundation for this unique success story.

A hotel with history and heart: 50 years of Ring hospitality!

What began half a century ago with a clear vision has now become an institution for health-conscious holidaymakers: the Wilfinger Ring Bio Hotel. The Wilfinger family was already focusing on natural health, regional organic products and beneficial treatments in the 1970s, long before "longevity" became a trendy term. Guests from all over Austria and beyond still appreciate the unique combination of naturopathy, hospitality and hotel amenities. A holistic approach is a top priority here: Thanks to the team's decades of experience in the fields of prevention, regeneration and well-being, guests are offered optimal health care. Supplemented by a wholesome, predominantly vegetarian diet and refined with herbal remedies according to Hildegard von Bingen, a health vacation or private cure offers a relaxing break.

Investments in the future: New bathing and sauna area and revitalized rooms.

In line with the philosophy of bringing body, mind and soul into harmony, significant investments have been made in recent months: A new wellness area at the Ring Bio Hotel Hartberg now offers guests even more comfort for relaxation. The indoor pool with Grander water, the whirlpool with thermal water and the panoramic sun terrace have all been renovated. The offer is complemented by modernized rooms that guarantee maximum comfort with natural materials and regional flair. "We not only invest in our hotels, but above all in the well-being of our guests," emphasizes Managing Director Roman M. Wilfinger.

A life full of visions and sustainable success: Roman Wilfinger Senior turns 95.

Another highlight of the celebrations: Roman Wilfinger Senior's 95th birthday. With his pioneering work in the health industry, his vision and his deep conviction in the healing power of nature, the Eisenerz native not only left a lasting mark on the Wilfinger Hotels, but also on the entire region. His life's work is an impressive example of living values and consistency - a legacy that is continued today by his grandson Roman M. Wilfinger with a great deal of passion and innovation. The Wilfinger family also owns the internationally successful company Ringana - which produces natural fresh cosmetics and food supplements - the fragrant lavender estate - whose oils are processed into high-quality care products, used in hotels and sold in the store - the Glückskapelle Masenberg chapel - which is a special place of tranquillity and spirituality - and the company Figureform® - which offers handmade acid-base balance products of the highest purity.

This is what the Wilfinger Hotels stand for: health, nature and living family tradition.

Today, the Wilfinger Group comprises three special hotels that all follow the same core values: the Ring Bio Hotel Hartberg, the Bio Thermen Hotel Bad Waltersdorf and the Thermal Biodorf Bad Waltersdorf. The focus is on holistic health based on the medicine of Hildegard von Bingen and Traditional European Medicine, combined with an excellent wholefood diet made from regional organic ingredients. "I am very grateful for my grandfather's life's work and proud to lead this wonderful family business into the future together with a dedicated team," said Roman M. Wilfinger with emotion. "Wilfinger Hotels stand for preventative health services, authentic hospitality and sustainable joie de vivre - values that are more important today than ever before."

A varied program for all the senses.

The anniversary weekend had a lot to offer for all the invited guests. Above all, longstanding regular guests who have spent up to 200 health weeks and 1,500 nights at the Ring Bio Hotel Hartberg appreciated the generous invitation extended by the Wilfinger family as a sign of gratitude and appreciation for their loyalty. The special highlight of the weekend was the award for the 50th anniversary from the Austrian Chamber of Commerce by Johann Spreitzhofer, chairman of the tourism and leisure industry. The certificate was ceremoniously presented to the entire Wilfinger family on Saturday evening, accompanied by music from entertainer Johannes Lafer and a vegetarian gala dinner. The visibly moved Roman Wilfinger Sr. was also surprised by his family with a cake, a personal short film and a book full of thoughts and fond memories from the invited guests.

With this all-round successful anniversary, the Wilfinger family proved once again that tradition and innovation, nature and modernity can go hand in hand - for the benefit of their guests and for the good of the future.
