Joseph Busuttil HandMade Maltese Lace
Bizzilla, as Maltese lace is called in Malti, is 100% handmade by Joseph Busuttil. His grandfather founded the company over a century ago, and since then it has mainly sold lace from Gozo made from linen or silk. Do as Queen Victoria did: she once ordered "eight dozen pairs of long gloves" to support the craftswomen.

' Victor Galea Haberdashery '
Behind the light blue wooden shutters, which are eagerly awaiting a new coat of paint, lies a gem from another era. For around 65 years, you can find everything you need for haberdashery here: cords, ribbons, lace trims, thread, buttons, etc. A visit to Pierre, the founder's son, is always worthwhile.

22, St. John Street, Valletta

' Ta'Xmun Olive Grove '
Olive grower Charles Bugeja, who at first - and second - glance looks just like actor Jeff Goldblum, has been in the business for a long time and knows: "The olive oil in the supermarkets has nothing to do with what I produce here!" It's best to book a tasting including a guided tour, as Bugeja can tell you interesting and passionate stories about his trees, the enemy apple weavers, proper storage and much more.
