Collegio alla Querce opens as Italy's first Auberge Resort

New splendor over Florence

With the Collegio alla Querce, the Auberge Resorts Collection is opening its first hotel in Italy - an iconic property above Florence that has been given a new lease of life following extensive restoration work. The 16th century property is located on a hill in the Quarto district, surrounded by cypresses and centuries-old oaks. The location offers spectacular views over the UNESCO-protected city center of Florence to the south and the rolling hills of Tuscany to the north.

In close collaboration with the renowned design firm Esteva i Esteva and local interior designers, the building has been transformed into a boutique hotel with 83 rooms - including restored frescoes, ornate ceilings and elegant Italian craftsmanship. Highlights include the stylish spa, a pool surrounded by terraced Medici gardens and the culinary center "La Gamella" with show kitchen and Amaro bar.

Collegio alla Querce focuses on tailor-made experiences that open up the cultural depths of the region to guests. These include private museum tours, mixology workshops with olive oil, pasta masterclasses and an "Opera Sound Bath" with live singing. Culinary enthusiasts can discover Tuscan cuisine under the guidance of top chefs or during a visit to the legendary butcher Dario Cecchini in Chianti.

The hotel also cooperates with fashion houses such as Palazzo Pucci and perfumers such as Daniele Cavalli, where guests can immerse themselves in traditional fragrance and alchemy rituals.
