Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne

Located directly on the shores of Lake Lucerne and built in the Belle Époque style at the beginning of the 20th century, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne is considered one of the new "it" addresses in Switzerland. The hotel has 136 elegant guest rooms, including 48 suites, which are among the largest in the city. Inspired by the surrounding landscape and combined with a Mediterranean color palette, the designers have succeeded in combining the original grandeur of the hotel with contemporary elegance. In the four restaurants and bars under the direction of Gilad Peled, guests can expect an exciting culinary journey through the cuisines of the world: the MOzern Bar & Brasserie, which is open all day, celebrates Asian cuisine and international classics as well as traditional afternoon tea. Overlooking the lake, the Quai 10 terrace restaurant tempts guests with Mediterranean cucina. With a focus on seasonal highlights, the Colonnade offers modern French haute cuisine. And with just six seats, Mizūmi stands for elegant and creatively prepared Japanese cuisine, while SACHI is the city's first omakase restaurant.
