Those traveling with the whole family or a group of friends should also take a look at the Maisons Matthiol apartments. The name "Matthiol" stands for the rare purple mountain flower Matthiola, which grows on rocky slopes and crevices and stands out with its red-purple flowers. Like a beautiful mountain flower, the Boutique Hotel Matthiol also thrives a little away from the hustle and bustle, offering plenty of space for relaxation.

Designed for mountain lovers , the rooms and suites have unique design features inspired by traditional Swiss elements and most have their own organic sauna and steam bath in the room. Combined with modern influences, they ensure a comfortable and cozy living experience. All rooms are bright and spacious with wooden beamed ceilings. Natural materials ensure a pleasant, modern coziness.

Relaxing journey in the spa labyrinth
The newly designed wellness area on the first floor of the hotel offers a unique spa experience. The starting point is the spa cave - this leads through an inspiring steam bath, on to the invigorating infrared chairs and on to the experience shower. Afterwards, the Rasul - the mud room - offers a deep cleansing experience, which can be booked additionally. Total relaxation is guaranteed in the Asian-inspired relaxation room. The perfect end to this relaxing journey is the outdoor whirlpool at the exit of the spa cave. This leaves visitors with a particularly intense experience of nature.

Mountain cuisine that tastes good!
"Food that tastes good is food with heart and soul." In addition to excellent steaks, the team at the Filet et Fils restaurant serves genuine mountain cuisine - home-made, regional and reinterpreted with a whole load of creativity. Meat and fish are prepared on the open grill so that the original character of the products is preserved. Particular emphasis is placed on the careful selection of ingredients - the focus is on regional ingredients and preparation with meat, herbs and vegetables from the region. At the same time, the dishes are inspired by ideas and high-quality ingredients from all over the world.

At 2,200 meters, under the north face of the Matterhorn is the award-winning Stafelalp mountain restaurant, which boasts a proud 13 Gault&Millau points. The lovingly run mountain restaurant is made entirely of wood and focuses on natural accents. The chef focuses on Swiss cuisine with a modern twist. A special feature of the menu are various dishes such as the signature dish to share, the Wagyu entrecôte or the fish of the day with fresh side dishes. The modern kitchen also offers various vegetarian and vegan menus as well as different cold platters. The classic cheese fondue is also a must in the mountains.
