Atlantis The Royal: The Grand Reveal Weekend

Most exclusive hospitality event of the year in Dubai

The eyes of the world are on Dubai:
From January 20 to 22, 2023, Atlantis The Royal invited the crème de la crème of stars and celebrities to a 3-day Grand Reveal Weekend of superlatives. Icons from all over the world came together on the red carpet, including global stars such as Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, Liam Payne, Rebel Wilson, Ellen Pompeo, Winston Dukes and Letitia Wright. Verona Pooth and Sylvie Meis traveled from Germany, Mark Wright and wife Michelle Keegan from the UK and former Gary Mehigan and former boxing champion Amir Khan from Australia. Bollywood stars Sibani Dandekar and Farhah Khan appeared alongside Dubai's stars Huda and Mona Kattan and Mahira Abdelaziz.

The celebrations were opened
on Friday evening (January 20, 2023) with a culinary "Feast of Dremas" - a gastronomic showdown between six world-famous chefs, all of whose restaurants will be opening in the resort from February. These include gastronomic greats such as José Andrés and Nobu Matsuhisa. Blue lobster (La Mar), Sicilian-style Wagyu Bresaola pizza and world-class sushi (Seven Seas) were just some of the delicacies that were sumptuously served on the evening. The highlight was the 1.50 meter high and 1.50 meter wide cake for the 1,200 guests, which consisted of seven layers, 25 handmade sugar birds and 80 hand-painted butterflies. Fun fact: it took seven confectioners a whole six days to make.

At Atlantis The Palm, NOBU - hosted by Kendall Jenner and NOBU Matsuhisa himself - opened on the 22nd floor on Friday evening. The after party took place at Cloud 22 in Atlantis The Royal with the launch of Tequila 818 by Kendall Jenner.

The glamorous highlight of the event
was Beyoncé's 60-minute performance on Saturday evening (January 21, 2023). Her first live show since 2018 began with a stunning rendition of the Etta James classic 'At Last', before treating the star-studded audience to some of her biggest career hits, including 'Halo' and 'Crazy in love'. With powerful vocals, energetic choreography and impressive staging, the global superstar was accompanied by Firdaus, a 48-piece female orchestra coached by Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman. In a breathtaking finale against the backdrop of Atlantis The Royal, Beyoncé was lifted into the air amidst the fire and water spouting fountain, Skyblaze.

The epic performance
was followed by a fireworks and drone extravaganza that lit up Dubai's newest landmark in an echo of the 2008 event that introduced Atlantis The Palm to the world. As the fireworks died down, Swedish House Mafia took to the stage to perform hits such as "One" and "Don't You Worry Child" as guests partied into the early hours.
