The andBeyond Punakha River Lodge
in the Kingdom of Bhutan is designed to offer a deep insight into the country's rich culture with views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges. As in andBeyond's African lodges, the focus is on the interplay of design, nature and culture. Authentic experiences such as a picnic by the Mo Chu River or visits to community agricultural projects and cultural ceremonies are on offer. But it's not just the concept and design that are unique - the location in a subtropical valley with opportunities for river rafting, yoga by the river or monastery hikes is also sure to impress. The six glamping suites and two pool villas, which have been harmoniously integrated into the complex, are particularly close to nature.
