In the middle of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, andbeyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge will open its doors in 2022 - or should we say its tents? The new lodge sees itself as a luxurious "tented camp" with accommodation made of canvas, banana fibers and local hardwoods that seem to float above the landscape.

As with all anbeyond projects, the Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge places the highest value on sustainability. Around 80 percent of the energy required is generated from solar power, innovative hot water systems are used and new technologies are used to measure the groundwater level in order to prevent the borehole from exceeding its capacity. The 29 luxury accommodations with large bathrooms, panoramic terraces with private pools and cosy sitting, dining and sleeping areas guarantee that the highest levels of luxury and comfort are not neglected in the face of so much sustainability.
