Anantara in Amsterdam

The brand's first store in the Netherlands will open in fall 2021

The Asian luxury hotel group Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is continuing to expand. In fall 2021, it will say "Welkom in Amsterdam". The current NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky will then welcome its guests as Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam. It will be the brand's third hotel in Europe and the first in the Netherlands.


Upgrade of an icon

The hotel is located directly on the central Dam Square and is currently undergoing a facelift. A careful approach is being taken, as the iconic hotel can look back on over 155 years of history. Originally opened as a small coffee house by the Dutch tailor Adolph Wilhelm Kransapolsky, it will be in no way inferior to its sister hotels in future. Some of the 402 rooms will be renovated and the gardens will also undergo a makeover. In addition to an Anantara Spa and a new fitness studio, the restaurant "The White Room" is also set to impress. Jacob Jan Boerma, who has been awarded three Michelin stars, will take over the management of the restaurant. The Grand Café Krasnapolsky offers classic dishes, the best view of the Dam and a stylish ambience, while the multi-award-winning bar The Tailor has unusual cocktail creations on the menu.

For guests, this means that in future they will find a luxury hotel right on Dam Square in the heart of Amsterdam, just a few minutes' walk from the city center's shopping arcades and famous sightseeing highlights. The Royal Palace, the Anne Frank House and the world-famous canals await visitors in the immediate vicinity.
