An urban retreat in Zurich

Platzhirsch Boutique Hotel

In the heart of Zurich’s Old Town, the Platzhirsch Boutique Hotel exudes its unmistakable charm.

Located directly on Hirschenplatz, this boutique hotel—dating back to 1879—offers a place where genuine hospitality, understated elegance, and modern design come together in perfect harmony. Those who arrive here find not merely a place to stay, but an urban retreat that inspires, slows the pace, and makes the essence of Zurich palpable in every detail.

The Platzhirsch embodies a contemporary understanding of responsibility and style. Here, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a way of life—from the mindful use of resources and the careful selection of natural materials to close collaborations with local partners. This philosophy is also reflected in the 20 individually designed rooms: warm colors, fine fabrics, quality craftsmanship, and a design that radiates tranquility and well-being.

New to the offering is the Courtyard Queen room category. The fully renovated rooms face the quiet inner courtyard and are specifically designed for solo travelers who appreciate the highest level of comfort in a stylish setting. High-quality furnishings and a design inspired by the hotel’s existing rooms combine timeless elegance with a contemporary living experience—fresh, well-thought-out, and now available.

Especially in spring, the Platzhirsch proves to be the ideal starting point for rediscovering Zurich. Thanks to its central location in the Old Town, sights, alleys, and squares can be explored in a particularly relaxed manner. E-bikes are available to guests free of charge (subject to availability) and can be used daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.—a stylish and sustainable way to experience the city as spring awakens.

In keeping with the spring season, the Platzhirsch invites guests to enjoy Zurich with carefully curated offerings. A special highlight is the seasonal “Great Lindt Easter Escape,” which elegantly combines city exploration with Swiss chocolate culture. After relaxing days in the Old Town and strolls through the city as it comes to life, the experience continues to the nearby Lindt Home of Chocolate in Rüschlikon—a sensory excursion that showcases Zurich from its sweetest side. Culinary delights, stylish comfort, and the lightness of spring come together in a package that adds a special touch to your urban stay.
