Chioh-Hui Goh was supported in his design by, among others, Earth Check, an Australian-based organization that advises and certifies hotels worldwide for environmentally friendly operation. As a result, almost all of the island's vegetation has been preserved despite extensive construction work. The hotel has its own tree nursery with over 20 tree species to ensure the survival of native tree species.



Another aspect is the lighting and temperature systems in the villas.
