A big canvas for a big idea

Successful world premiere of the children's series "Hey, here comes TaNte FriDa" in Munich on February 22, 2026

Popcorn, drinks and more: when the Eder Collection invites you, there's not a dry eye in the house

On February 22, the Cinema Filmtheater in Nymphenburger Straße in Munich was transformed into a premiere venue, as is usually the case with international streaming launches. The Eder Collection from Maria Alm (Austria) celebrated the grand premiere of "Hey, here comes TaNte FriDa" there: the first independently produced web series by a hotel in Austria to be produced and launched in this form.

Around 250 invited guests from the media, society, film and television as well as Mummy-KOLs and their children experienced a screening that was deliberately staged as a big movie: Popcorn, drinks, a curated Hollywood-style photo moment, high-quality goodie bags and a "FriDa-tastic" atmosphere full of color and fun made it clear that this was not just the launch of a series, but the opening of a new chapter in the brand management of a hospitality company.

Afterwards, representatives from the media and the industry discussed the project, its origins and the further adventures of TaNte FriDa at a get-together with Californian snacks at La Burrita.

With "Hey, here comes TaNte FriDa", the Eder Collection is adding another format to the story world surrounding its character TaNte FriDa. The stories were originally created as bedtime stories in the home of the host family Schwaiger and were further developed via book and audio formats; in 2025, the decision was made to produce a professional series.

From a brand management perspective, the project focuses on cross-media storytelling and additional touchpoints for families - beyond the hotel stay.

"TaNte FriDa was created at home - from stories for our son. The fact that this character is now celebrating its premiere on the big screen is something special for us. We never wanted to make a commercial, we wanted to tell a real world. The fact that so many guests joined us on this journey yesterday shows us that this idea works," says Sepp Schwaiger, host and owner of the Eder Collection.

The first three episodes of the series were shown, which take Frida to Los Angeles, Rome and on a trip to the moon, among other places.

The Eder Collection - Alpine lifestyle with heart and vision

The Eder Collection in Maria Alm in Salzburger Land stands for alpine lifestyle, genuine hospitality and modern design. Rooted in the traditional Pinzgau region and supported by a clear vision, the brand combines tradition with modern ease. Behind the collection is the Schwaiger host family, led by tourism entrepreneur Sepp Schwaiger, who creates unique experiences with passion, a spirit of innovation and a keen sense of people, region, design and atmosphere. Under the motto "Preserving tradition, shaping the future", the Eder Collection unites exceptional hotels with their own character: the flagship Hotel eder in the heart of the village square, the stylish adults-only hideaway SEPP - Alpine Boutique Hotel - luxury with a twist, the crazy house and family hotel EdeR FriDa, the event location TOM Almhütte - hut charm and bubbles, the exclusive Eder Apartments, the hairdressing salon mArio and the ConSEPP Store Maria&Josef. The result is a lively ensemble - a collection - that shows how authentic Alpine culture, design and hospitality can merge into a modern brand.
